It all started in sophomore year of High School. I'd grown up in Bellevue and had a close group of friends since Elementary. We were always picky of who we thought should be allowed to join our circle (as if it were really all that special). Alex had just moved to the U.S. from Poland and was brand new to Sammamish HS and was on the hunt for new friends. Coincidentally we ended up in the same class together, ceramics. At the start of every class there was always roll call. When our teacher, who just happened to love me and the fact that I had a crazy long name, pronounced my full name it became completely apparent to Alex that she wasn't the only Polka in our school. We didn't exactly like each other at first. She probably thought I came off cold and was unfriendly towards her and I wasn't accustomed to someone who had as much energy as she did. One random school day during lunch my best friend, at the time, invited her to eat with us which got us to open up to each other and start getting to know one another. From there we had a beautiful friendship slowly blossoming.
10 years later...
We're best friends, soul mates, sisters, co-workers, and now business partners. We've literally been through it all. Our newest venture, which we've been talking about for a long time, is our new photography business -
Everlasting Memories. Together we've brought our love of art, design, friendship, and photography into one. This is only chapter one but we're confident in our abilities and will be persistent in building our business. Stay tuned!
